Excessive exhaust smoke occurs when the motor oil creeps into the combustion chamber of the engine and is burned with the fuel. This normally happens in older or high mileage vehicles where friction and wear have caused worn metal parts and gaps between cylinder walls and piston rings.

SF-10 has been designed to help seal these gaps caused by worn parts to reduce oil consumption and excessive exhaust smoke. The formulation also contains a percentage of MT-10 Metal TreatmentTM to help reduce friction-related heat and wear of the moving metal parts inside the engine. MT-10 Metal TreatmentTM is an advanced technology antifriction lubricant additive providing increased boundary film lubrication.
