FAQs

How and where do I use MT-10?
MT-10 is a great additive for engine crankcases, power steering pumps, automatic and manual transmissions, differentials, hydrostat drives and gearboxes.

How much do I use?
The standard usage recommendation is 15% of the capacity of the lubrication reservoir.  Care must be taken to not overfill a reservoir by allowing enough room for the addition of MT-10, especially in large capacity machines.  We have used the simple formula of 1 ounce per quart and/or 4 ounces per gallon in our own fleet for over 15 years (and more than 1.5 million miles) with great success.

How often do I use it?
For optimum results, MT-10 should be added at each fluid change.  After the third consecutive crankcase oil change, the usage may be halved.

What kind of results can I expect?
Smoother and quieter operation will be the first thing most people will notice.  After addition to crankcase oil, there is often a noticeable drop in engine noise and a corresponding drop in RPMs.  Shortly after addition to an automatic transmission, the shift pattern will be much smoother.  Power steering pumps will run quieter, and hydrostat transmissions will typically run about 10% cooler.  Some fuel economy will also result from all of these improvements, which offsets the purchase price.

Will MT-10 improve the lubrication efficiency of synthetic oils?
Our tests with many leading brands of synthetic oils, as well as reports from our customer base indicate that the same noticeable results occur with synthetic oils just as they do with standard grade engine oils and lubricants.

Will FT-10 serve as a fuel stabilizer?
Yes.  FT-10 is safe and recommended for gasoline blends through E-15 and diesel blends up to B-10.Many of our large fleet and farm customers add FT-10 to their bulk storage tanks to stabilize gasoline and diesel.  With a usage rate of 1 ounce for each 10 gallons, a 5 gallon pail will treat most transport loads.

Where do I find pricing for the MPC line?
Please call us for pricing for your specific needs and quantities.  We can arrange shipping from our facility, or directly from MPC.

What’s the difference between using IC-10 and FT-10?
Blue Ice injector cleaner (IC-10) is recommended to be uses every 10,000 miles to eliminate deposits on injectors and carbon build-up in the combustion chamber.  It is also a very effective water dispersant.
FT-10 treats the fuel system in an ongoing manner, at the rate of 1 ounce per 10 gallons.  Since it contains a proportionate amount of MT-10 in its formulation, it promotes longer life of the entire fuel system.
